Top 5 Baby Shower Gifts

Friday, July 24, 2020

One of the most frustratingly-hard-but-should-be-easy decisions for me is choosing a baby shower gift for one of my sweet mama-to-be friends. The options are endless! And as the prospective mama, where do you even begin on setting up your registry? It's so easy to want to register for the cute nursery rug, hair bows and endless toys but more often than not, you'll wish you went for the helpful gadgets and safety products instead.

Soooo, without further ado, here's our quick list of the top 5 baby shower gifts!

5. For a creative keepsake: A personalized name puzzle like this one. Renee got Hudson this for his first birthday along with a message engraved on the back and we absolutely treasure it. Yes, it falls into the toy/decor category but the fact that it can be special made for the new little one in your life makes it worth it. We've actually started using ours to get Hud familiarized with his letters, in addition to building up his motor skills, so it can also double as a learning tool ;)

4. For daily use: Baby bath sets. We're particularly fans of the Honest Co. brand found here. This one is kind of obvious but incredibly useful--I mean, kids have to take baths or whatever. And in all seriousness, Hudson is 19 months old and I've never had to buy a single bottle of shampoo or lotion. So basically, I've been keeping my son clean and my wallet happy. Win.

3. Phil & Ted's Lobster Portable High Chair. This chair, although honestly a little on the pricier side, is a super portable alternative to your standard high chair. It clips to any table, letting baby feel very included in the whole dining experience...also, did I mean it's super portable? And yeah, it may sound sketch clipping your baby to a table but the chair is durable, sturdy and high quality. 10/10 would recommend.

2. Papablic Baby Bottle Sterilizer. We obviously really love this product. Listen, cleaning bottles ain't fun. There's a lot more to it than I realized. This thing cleans and sanitizes the mess out of those bottles. It gives you peace of mind and a safe way for baby to feed. We like both of those things.

1. Alright. Honestly. DIAPERS. Seriously, the mom in your life will thank you. To this day, if my mom asks what Hud needs, it's diapers. Bring. Them. On. My personal fave is Pampers Baby Dry. Renee is a fan of Kirkland Signature at Costco.

Any thing you choose will come from the heart. You really can't lose. What are your top picks for baby shower gifts?
