About Kaley

Based in a small town near Waco, Texas, Kaley is a musician's wife, a lover of life, and a self-proclaimed red velvet cupcake connoisseur. She's the proud mama of Hudson Cash (2) and step-mom to Faith (20) and Ethan (18). Yeah. Let that sink in a little. At just 3-weeks-old, Hudson was diagnosed with a genetic disorder called congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH). Any mother deals with the countless worries and anxieties of raising a child but as the mother of a baby with a rare condition, she'll be the first to tell ya-- it gets real. You'll find her blogging about the realities of mom life and tackling topics like relationships, family, mental health, CAH advocacy and her profound lack of cooking skills.

Married to her high school sweetheart and mama to Eli (3) and Mila (1), Renee is also the proud founder of Powers Realty and Design. Based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, you'll find her flexing her creative muscles, transforming properties into her clients' dream homes, and haggling deals on Facebook Marketplace with a slightly terrifying fierceness. Ambitious and goal-oriented, Renee brings her expertise of design, health, motherhood and the act of ballin' on a budget to Unfancy Friends, where you count on her to give you honest product reviews, ideas for fun in DFW, and a refreshingly real take on life as a working mom.
