Sooo, I'm just going to put this out there -- I've spent a looooot of money on my hair and face over the years. Through this torture on my wallet, I've really narrowed down some of the best products on the market. Most of these items you can buy at Ulta (my retailer of choice because their return policy is on point), but I've provided links for the others too!
Makeup
I AM A BELIEVER, you guys! I got this last year as a Christmas present. I was doing my own lash extensions before this and it ruined my natural lashes. This stuff has helped them grow back LONGER and healthier than they were pre-extensions. Super easy -- just apply at the lash line once daily and watch those bad boys flourish.
I've tried soooo many of the mascara primers at Ulta that are significantly more expensive and this stuff is way better in my opinion. Using a mascara primer is a game-changer in your eye makeup routine if you haven't tried one yet!
They're Real Lengthening Mascara
I don't typically wear a ton of makeup. I mostly focus on my mascara, so this has been my favorite for 10+ years! A great bold look which is great for separation (#saynotoclumpylashes) and length.
Hair Care
Pureology Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner
You guys, I have long, thick, curly (CRAZY) hair and it's pretty much been my life's mission to get this mane UNDER CONTROL. That being said, I've tried every hair care product known to man. Just save some time and money -- this set is liquid gold (at least for similarly-textured hair)!
Bumble and Bumble Invisible Oil Primer
Just buy this for the smell alone -- it's heavenly! I used to use a ton of hair products to tame the beast after showering. This amazing concoction does it all and doesn't leave a funky residue on your hair.
Oh, Drybar...we have a love-hate relationship. So many amazing products, so much damage to my bank account. Just trust me on this one -- this dry shampoo is one of the best out there and will make everyone want to slowly waft your head.
Skin Care
Murad Nutrient-Charged Water Gel
So this ain't cheap. But holy cow, it's good! It smells amazing (seeing a trend here?!) and soaks into your skin instantaneously for such a relaxing feel right before bed. If you're worried about taking the plunge with the steep price tag, check out the sample kits. You're 100% guaranteed to get hooked, FYI.
Clarisonic Mia Facial Cleansing Brush
I got mine last year for Christmas and use it daily in the shower and it leaves my face feeling so smooth (can be used on your neck and chest too!). Unfortunately, Clarisonic just announced in September that they're going out of business, so only a couple retailers still have this item. Act fast before they're gone permanently!
This feels like spraying sunshine on your face, just sayin. I use after cleansing in the shower and before putting my makeup on. A lot of other people recommend using it as a makeup setting spray and to refresh your makeup throughout the day.
